Episode 218 – RomneyShambles

The Tim Corrimal Show

Episode 218 – July 29, 2012

On episode 218 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined at the round table by Joseph (@Marnus3 on Twitter) and Sarah (@s_cosgrove on Twitter) from the “Mashrabiyya Blog”.

On the show this weekend, we start out with introductions and the “All A Tweetie” segment and then Joe Baur of the Mildly Relevant News Video Blog fills us in on Michele Bachmann’s Muslim Brotherhood Scare. Then we get right into the 2012 Election Update segment starting with Mitt Romney telling the Olympic Athletes how they didn’t get there solely on their own, which sounded awfully familiar to what President Obama said about US businesses and how the Obama Campaign shot back about with the truth regarding the Romney campaign taking his words out of context in attack ads.  And then we discuss Mitt continuing to refuse to release his tax returns and what he’s possibly hiding as well as how he thought the Colorado shooter had guns that were “illegal” and aren’t.  Then after a message from our good friends over at BubbleGenius.com, we discuss Admiral William McRaven’s comments on how working with President Obama is fantastic.  And then we move on to Romney’s gaffes in London, which offended the British and inspired the #RomneyShambles twitter hash tag.  Then we discuss Anderson Cooper calling out the Bachmann Muslim Brotherhood allegations and Newt Gingrich jumping into the fabricated drama.  And then we close out the show discussing Harry Reid warning us about how angry old white billionaires are attempting to buy our elections and Chris Hayes’ thoughts on the existing US tax system.
