On the show this week we discuss our takes on the events surrounding the White House Correspondents Dinner, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s resignation as the Labor Secretary, and a Pennsylvania Appeals Court overturning limits on Medicaid coverage for abortions. Next we discuss Kash Patel’s lawsuit with The Atlantic over their article about his alleged excessive drinking, Rep. Nancy Mace introducing a measure to expel Republican Cory Mills from Congress, and the launch of Trump’s $166 billon dollar tariff refund portal. Then we discuss Kash Patel’s announcement that 2020 election fraud arrests are ‘coming soon’, dozens of veterans being arrested at the Capitol during a protest against the Iran war, and Trump’s statements on Iran becoming increasingly contradictory from each other as White House aides excluded him from important military meetings due to his impatience. Next we discuss the poll finding that 65% of Americans blame Trump for high gas prices, the Trump crony tapped to lead a DOJ probe against Ex-CIA director John Brennan saying there is ‘no evidence whatsoever’, and Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick’s resignation from Congress before an exposition threat. Then we discuss Trump’s taco extending the Iran ceasefire, Virginia voters passing a Democratic effort to redraw the state’s Congressional maps, and the DOJ indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center. Next we discuss Kash Patel lashing out a the press over the story painting as a drunk and AWOL, a watchdog group’s FOIA request for Patel’s calendar and security detail messages, and the DOJ withdrawal of subpoenas in the John Brennan investigation. Then we discuss Tucker Carlson and other conservative influencers turning on Trump and MAGA, U.S. officials killed in Mexico after an anti-drug operation turn out to the working for the CIA, and Senators urging the USPS not to implement Trump’s mail-in voting order. Next we discuss Pete Hegseth scrapping the Pentagon’s flu vaccine policy, New York suing Coinbase and Gemini Titan calling their operations gambling, and Trump’s $500 million dollar rescue package for Spirit Airlines and then saying he was going to make them a branch of the Military. Then we discuss John Phelan being forced out as Secretary of the Navy, a Judge tossing Kath Patel’s defamation lawsuit against former MSNBC contributor Frank Figluzzi, and Rep. David Scott’s death at age 80 triggering a new race for his House seat. Next we discuss Iran seizing ships in the Strait of Hormuz, a Colorado prosecutor charging a border officer with assault, and a Judge tossing Laura Loomer’s defamation suit against Bill Maher. Then we discuss U.S. House Oversight members discussing giving Ghislaine Maxwell a pardon, Pirro saying she won’t drop the Fed probe then dropping it the next day, and Democrats asking FBI Director Patel to fill out alcohol use screening tests. Next we discuss a Federal Judge blocking Trump’s restrictions on wind and solar projects, Trump telling MS NOW that Iran has ‘no idea who their leader is’, and the DOJ Inspector General probing into the agency’s compliance with the Epstein Transparency Act. Then we discuss the U.S. Special Forces soldier who was charged with using classified intelligence to win a $400,000 bet on Maduro’s capture, Trump saying the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire would be extended for 3 weeks, and a New York Times reporter being investigated over a story on Kash Patel’s girlfriend. Lastly we discuss Trump having the granite in the Reflecting Pool at the Lincoln Memorial painted swimming pool blue, the Trump Administration pushing the DOJ to pursue denaturalization cases as well as reinstating firing squads, electrocutions, and gas asphyxiation for people on death row, and the new NBC News poll that a plurality of young Americans saying they’d choose to live in the past if they had the option.
