On the show this week we discuss the ongoing war in the Middle East, the election results in Hungry handing Victor Orbán a humiliating defeat, and Peter Magyar vowing to end corruption that thrived under Orbán. Next we discuss Trump’s AI image of himself as a Jesus-like figure and his feud with Pope Leo, a Federal Judge tossing out Trump’s lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal, and Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales resigning from Congress. Then we discuss Trump’s media company dropping it’s lawsuit against the Guardian, The U.S. beginning a blockade of Iran’s ports and Iranians threatening retaliation, Project 2025 author Paul Dans dropping out of the primary challenge to Lindsey Graham, and Trump’s fake DoorDash White House event with a Republican plant delivering food from McDonalds. Next we discuss Trump saying that oil and gas prices could be higher before the midterm elections, Rep. Raskin offering a bill setting up the 25th Amendment process to remove Trump from office, and the 3 Chinese ships that successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz despite the US Naval blockade. Then we discuss Virginia officially joining the national effort to give their Presidential Electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote, Virginia Gov. Spanberger signing a bill ending tax breaks for Confederate groups, and that Former Pence advisor Olivia Troye is running for Congress as a Democrat in Virginia. Next we discuss Erika Kirk’s withdrawal from a TP USA event with J.D. Vance that had 3/4 of the venue seats empty, the Justice Department moving to erase the Jan. 6th convictions of the Oath Keeper and Proud Boys leaders, and acting Attorney General Todd Blanche saying that American’s should be happy that Trump is deeply involved in the DOJ. Then we discuss Iowa Democrats pursuing a once in a generation opportunity amid farmer’s woes, a Federal Judge ruling against Hegseth’s latest Pentagon press policy, and ICE officials being investigated by local prosecutors as kidnapping and false arrest of an American citizen in his underwear in Minnesota. Next we discuss U.S. wholesale prices rising 4% last month during the Iran war, TMZ launching a DC bureau to track down and report on politicians, and Sen. Thom Tillis blasting the investigation into the Federal Reserve Chairman and saying that Trump should apologize to the Pope. Then we discuss John Eastman’s disbarment in California over his 2020 election scheme, Democrats filing Articles of Impeachment against Pete Hegseth, and Iran saying it won’t give up enriching uranium to get a peace deal. Next we discuss Dr. Oz saying that Trump thinks that diet soda kills cancer cells, Trump attacking Italy’s Prime Minister for siding with the Pope on the Iran war, and Vance saying the Pope should be careful when talking about theology. Then we discuss a jury finding that Live Nation illegally monopolized concerts and ticketing, House Republicans blocking a measure to rein in Trump on Iran, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent saying the ‘Strait of Vermouth’ is open. Next we discuss an ICE agents being charged by local prosecutors with 2 felonies for allegedly pointing a gun at motorists in Minneapolis, a Judge ordering a halt to construction on Trump’s ballroom, and Trump saying he may go to Islamabad if an Iran deal is reached. Then we discuss Pete Hegseth quoting the movie ‘Pulp Fiction’ at a Pentagon prayer service and comparing the press to Pharisees, Trump rambling nonsense to reporters on the White House lawn, and the announcement that acting ICE Director Todd Lyons is leaving the Department of Homeland Security. Next we discuss Democrat Analilia Mejia winning the New Jersey special election to fill the seat vacated by Gov. Mikie Sherrill, Police investigating a bomb threat at the home of Pope Leo’s brother, and Trump saying the blockade of Iranian ports remains after Iran declared the Strait of Hormuz as open. Lastly we discuss a Judge rejecting the Justice Department’s attempt to obtain Rhode Island’s voter data and Republicans sinking Trump’s push to extend the FISA warrantless surveilance program.
