On the show this week we discuss the continuing war in Iran, Melania Trump chairing a United Nations council meeting, and the Trump administration dropping its defense of law firm sanctions then backtracking on it. Next we discuss a Federal Judge nixing the DHS policy that required 7 days’ notice for Congress members to visit ICE facilities, the State Department urging Americans to leave the Middle East but providing no assistance to stranded citizens, and Iran shutting down the Strait of Hormuz blocking oil tankers and impacting gas prices. Then we discuss the White House blocking intelligence warnings about the threat of Iranian attacks on U.S. soil, the FBI investigating the shooting in Austin, TX as a potential act of terrorism, and Kash Patel’s firing of agents with expertise in Iran. Next we discuss the Minneapolis prosecutor’s office investigating Greg Bovino and other Border Patrol officials, the Trump Administration being ordered by the Court of International Trade to refund the tariff money that the Supreme Court ruled were illegally assessed, and the insider trading going on with prediction markets. Then we discuss Howard Lutnick agreeing to testify in the House Epstein investigation, service members being told that bombing Iran was part of a divine plan and the war is ‘biblically sanctioned’, and Democratic members sounding the alarm after attending a classified briefing on the military action in Iran. Next we discuss the results of Tuesday’s primaries in North Carolina and Texas, Latinos turning out in massive numbers in the Texas primaries, and a Federal Judge in Minnesota demanding answers from the top Minnesota prosecutor in a contempt hearing. Then we discuss the San Francisco Ballet announcement that they have withdrawn from a 5 day run at the Kennedy Center, the House committee subpoena of Pam Bondi and the subsequent release of more Epstein files, and a Marine veteran who’s arm was broken by Montana Senator Tim Sheehe after he protested a hearing. Next we discuss Kristi Noem’s House hearing where Rep. Kamlager-Dove asked her about her alleged sexual relationship with Corey Lewandowski and her subsequently being fired, the Justice Department shelving it’s investigation into Biden’s used of an autopen, and a sprawling investigation finding decades of sexual abuse among Catholic priests in Rhode Island. Then we discuss over 20 states suing Trump over his 15% global tariff, Lindsey Halligan being under investigation by the Florida Bar, and Pam Bondi’s attempt to cut state Bar associations from investigating DOJ attorneys. Next we discuss Trump saying he wants to choose the next leader of Iran, a Federal Judge to hear arguments over the Pentagon’s restrictions on press access, and pardoned January 6th insurrectionist Andrew Paul Johnson being sentenced to life in prison for child sex abuse. Lastly we discuss Trump’s demand of unconditional surrender in Iran, the National Symphony Orchestra executive steeping down and leaving the Kennedy Center, and Virginia passing legislation that prohibits schools from teaching falsehoods about the January 6th insurrection.
