Episode 247 Show Art - Back Home

On episode 247 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined at the round table by Joe (@marnus3 on Twitter), Francie (@Francie57 on Twitter) and GottaLaff (@GottaLaff on Twitter) from “The Political Carnival” Blog.

On this week’s show we start out with introductions and the “All A Tweetie” segment, then we begin the political discussion talking about what North Carolina conservative policy makers are up.  Then we discuss how Virginia Attorney General and GOP nominee to succeed Virginia Governor Bob “ultrasound” McDonnell, Ken Cuccinelli, thinks that the Commonwealth should outlaw sodomy, even though the US Supreme Court ruled that such laws are unconstitutional.  Then we also discuss the ongoing investigation into both Gov. McDonnell and Ken Cuccinelli’s improper use of public funds, facilities and power for personal enrichment of themselves and friends. And not to leave out more GOP fun, we discuss a CNN interview with Texas Gov. Rick Perry about how he’s open to the notion of running for president in 2016, the upcoming South Carolina Congressional special election between Elizabeth Colbert-Busch and Mark Sanford and then Jim Hightower fills us in on GOP leaders trying to put earrings on their hog. Then after another hilarious Mother’s Day commercial from our great friends at BubbleGenius.com, we discuss GOP Rep. Young’s “wetbacks” comment and the underlying racism that is still prevalent in much of American.   And then we close out the show with a discussion about Marriage Equality featuring a clip from the speech by MP Maurice Williamson on the floor of the New Zealand Parliament regarding the Marriage Equality bill that recently passed as well as a hilarious clip where Luke Russert challenged Tony Perkin’s on his bigoted anti-gay comments while he was guest hosting on MSNBC.

On this week’s show we start out with introductions and the “All A Tweetie” segment, then we begin the discussion about the Sunday Talkers featuring John Boehner stating that he absolutely trusts President Obama and agrees there there is no immediate debt problem in the US as well as how David Gregory immediately changed the topic on Meet the Press when Kathleen Kennedy Townsend made a valid point about federal spending and the economy. Then we discuss President Obama’s message to OFA members, Vice President Biden’s trip to the Installation Mass for Pope Francis and President Obama being heckled during a speech in Israel. Then after another hilarious commercial from our great friends at BubbleGenius.com, Jim Hightower fills us in on how Paul Ryan is stuck in the same old rabbit hole by introducing his budget from last year for a vote in the House again after it was soundly rejected by the Senate and the American People in the 2012 Election.  And then we discuss the hilarious news clip of Rep. Michele Bachmann running from a reporter who was asking her questions about the “un-truths” she said about the President in her CPAC speech.  Then we close out the show with a discussion about Hillary Clinton’s recent video stating her support for Gay Marriage as well as a crazy story about a racist rant that was printed in a Charleston, WV newspaper and the local public’s reaction to it.
