Episode 241 – SOTU and Sequester

The Tim Corrimal Show
Episode 241 – February 17, 2013

The President at the State of the Union

On episode 241 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined at the round table by Joe (@marnus3 on Twitter), Lori (@lipdesign on Twitter) and Michael Hayne (@MikeHayne on Twitter) who is a comedian, voice over actor and writer for Addicting Info, The Cagle Post and other publications.

On this week’s show we start out with introductions and a discussion about Michael Hayne‘s comedy and voice over work.  Then after the “All A Tweetie” segment, we start off the discussion with Chris Matthews trashing Dick Cheney’s criticism of President Obama’s national security nominations and the President’s proposal to put off the across the board sequester cuts until Congress can develop a balanced budget proposal.  We then discuss the highlights of the State of the Union speech and discuss our thoughts on the speech.  And then after a fantastic offer from our great friends at BubbleGenius.com, we discuss Marco Rubio’s SOTU response featuring “Choke On The Water” from Rocky Mountain Mike (@RockyMntnMike on Twitter) as well as Rand Paul’s Tea Party response.  Then we discuss the GOP Senate minority blocking Chuck Hagel’s nomination for Secretary of Defense and the House Judiciary Committee Hearing on immigration reform.  And finally, we close out the show with an unbelievable Foxism of the week.
