Episode 172 – A Netroots Nation Report with BubbleGenius

The Tim Corrimal Show
Episode 172 – June 19, 2011

On episode 172 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined by Dave (@D_v_E on Twitter) from “The Corner Tavern” Blog and the “Refudiate This, Sarah” Blog. And our special guests this week are Paula (@BubbleGenius on Twitter) and Sarah from www.BubbleGenius.com, who were at the Netroots Nation Conference in Minneapolis, MN.

On today’s show, we start out with introductions and the “All A Tweetie” segment. And Paula and Sarah give us a hilarious report about being at the Netroots Nation Conference, including @DAbitty’s great video at http://youtu.be/37A0pUPFHbg.  Our political discussion at the round table this week then starts with our thoughts about the Anthony Weiner situation and his resignation this past week. And then we recap the GOP 2012 Presidential primary season clown car events of the week including Michele Bachmann’s announcement that she’s entering the race for President. Then we move on to a discussion about GOP Debate this week in New Hampshire as well as US Representative Vern Buchanan from Florida’s scandal.  Then we move on to the “What the Hell Where You Thinking” Segment discussing the Russelville, Arkansas middle school year book story that upset many parents. And finally, we close out the show with the “Foxisms of the Week” segment.

Episode 164 – Jeff and Lori Wilfahrt

The Tim Corrimal Show
Episode 164 – April 17, 2011

On episode 164 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined by Dave (@D_v_E on Twitter) from “The Corner Tavern” Blog and the “Refudiate This, Sarah” Blog, GottaLaff (@GottaLaff on Twitter) from “The Political Carnival” Blog and our very special guests this week are Jeff and Lori Wilfahrt, who’s son, Corporal Andrew C. Wilfahrt, was recently and unfortunately killed in Afghanistan.

On today’s show, we start out with our Twitter friends of the week. Then we discuss the Outfront Minnesota Rally at the Minnesota Capitol where Jeff spoke about his son and Marriage Equality with an anti-gay marriage proposition on the ballot in that state. We also discuss dealing with hate speech and bullying on the internet and how that seems to be bleeding into regular dealings with people.  We also discuss Louis Marinelli leaving the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) and the Tea Party rally in Wisconsin that was drowned out by pro-union protesters 10 to 1.  And then we close out the show with the FOXisms of the week segment.

Episode 138 – I Can’t Believe This Is Happening

The Tim Corrimal Show
Episode 137 – August 29, 2010

Episode 138 of The Tim Corrimal Show is a video in which I am joined by Reiko Eoh (HellOPolitics2U on Twitter) from the HellOPolitics Blog and we went down to the National Mall to survey the crowd at the “Restoring Honor” event and see first hand the Glenn Beck desecration and spin fest of the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King on the 40th Anniversary of his “I Have A Dream” speech.  GottaLaff from The Political Carnival blog pretty much summed up the event by calling it Whitestock 2010 and we kept waiting for Abraham Lincoln to get up off the chair, come down the steps and kick Glenn in the nuts; but sadly it didn’t happen.

So we left the spinfest and went to the “Reclaim The Dream” event at Dunbar High School for the real celebration of memory of Dr. King’s Speech and message and wrapped up the video with coverage from that event.
