Episode 268 Show Art - Dead GOP Elephant - Shutdown

On episode 268 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined at the round table by Joe (@Marnus3 on Twitter), Sarah (S_Cosgrove on Twitter) and Paddy (@PaddyK on Twitter) from “The Political Carnival” Blog.

On the show this week we start out with introductions and the “All A Tweetie” segment, then after Joe gives us a clown car update, we discuss the lead up to the US Government shutdown starting with Chris Matthews calling out Rep. Scott Perry about the situation as well as Rep Tom Cole admitting that the Republicans will be hurt by a Government shutdown. Then we discuss Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s ridiculous interview on FOX where she says Americans need to learn to live with less Government and on the other side Rep. John Larson calls out the GOP on their Government shutdown strategy. Then we discuss the President’s speech on the day the shutdown began.  And after another fabulous commercial from our great friends over at BubbleGenius.com, we discuss Michele Bachmann’s pandering attempt to the US World War 2 Veterans memorial, Rep Marlin Stutzman’s statement about the GOP plan, and the FOX News ‘slimdown’ spin.  Then we close out the show with Laura Ingraham dishing the over 800,000 non-essential Federal workers who are affected by the US Government shutdown calling them unnecessary and a synopsis of the right wing media trying to spin the shutdown in their favor.

Episode 246 Show Art

On episode 246 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined at the round table by Joe (@marnus3 on Twitter), Francy (@Francy57 on Twitter) and Paddy (@PaddyK on Twitter) from “The Political Carnival” Blog.

On this week’s show we start out with introductions and the “All A Tweetie” segment, then we begin the discussion about the Sunday Talkers featuring John Boehner stating that he absolutely trusts President Obama and agrees there there is no immediate debt problem in the US as well as how David Gregory immediately changed the topic on Meet the Press when Kathleen Kennedy Townsend made a valid point about federal spending and the economy. Then we discuss President Obama’s message to OFA members, Vice President Biden’s trip to the Installation Mass for Pope Francis and President Obama being heckled during a speech in Israel. Then after another hilarious commercial from our great friends at BubbleGenius.com, Jim Hightower fills us in on how Paul Ryan is stuck in the same old rabbit hole by introducing his budget from last year for a vote in the House again after it was soundly rejected by the Senate and the American People in the 2012 Election.  And then we discuss the hilarious news clip of Rep. Michele Bachmann running from a reporter who was asking her questions about the “un-truths” she said about the President in her CPAC speech.  Then we close out the show with a discussion about Hillary Clinton’s recent video stating her support for Gay Marriage as well as a crazy story about a racist rant that was printed in a Charleston, WV newspaper and the local public’s reaction to it.
