Many thanks to the producers of this video. This pretty much sums up the arguments.
Equal Enforcement of Biblical Law – Lets Pick and Choose
Before and After Pics
As I’ve talked about on the show, we’ve been having some work done to the front of our home here in DC. Here are the before and after pics for your enjoyment. The house was originally a 5000 square foot home that was built in the 1860′s and was owned by Alain Locke, who was the first African American Rhodes Scholar. In 1980, the building was gutted and converted into 4 condominium units.
I’m so glad all of this work is finally finished before the Inaugural Weekend in January, 2009. A fitting tribute to the first African American President, Barack Obama.

This picture was taken 12 years ago when we moved into the building.

This picture was taken during the repointing of the bricks in October, 2008.

The painting begins on a warm day in December 2008 by painting the accent brick work. The doors on the building were replaced in 2007.

A close up of the detail work in the bricks.

Here you can see how the detail work of the antique brick is now visible since we painted it a darker tan that the rest of the building. One of my favorite detail brick works on the front of the building is the Greek Key bricks that now stands out.

The work is completed and the painters did a fantastic job!!! Now to decorate for the Holidays!!!
Change is happening in Baby Steps
I am very happy that Barrack Obama has won by a mandate in the Presidential Election. But then again, I am very sad that all of the propositions limiting gay rights have passed. That just tells us that America as well as Democrats need more education! And it’s up to us to make that happen.
I have to say this situation has made me embarrassed to chant “YES WE CAN” as I was typing constantly on Twitter during Election Day. I truly believed that America would come together and not deny our rights with this huge Democratic party turn out since we worked so hard to help Obama win and young people were voting in droves.
But, guess what. That did not happen. We continue to be classified as second class citizens without the full rights of the rest of America.
And on Twitter for 2 days now I have seen so much whining by people complaining about loosing Prop 8. After much thought and reflection, here was my response on Twitter.
<Twitter Messages from me included below>
Ok, enough about Prop 8 negative stuff. We will try again and next time we will win! I’m just happy that we have taken our country back!
And it’s up to us to make that change happen! Today is a new day of change and opportunity! Let’s each take on the duty of change!
It’s time for each one of us to be glad of the progress we have made. Change comes in baby steps and have that.
And we will not win if we sit on our ass. Change will happen down the road if we work for it. It’s time to call it a a win for Change!
And I will say now that I so wanted to continue the “Yes We Can” slogan, but when I heard that Prop 8 lost…I was ashamed to say that!
But after much thought, I have to say that it’s time for us to come together as John McCain said and let’s continue the drive to try again in the next election!
<end of tweets>
And adding this after the fact, I think that if we keep on getting the signatures to turn this over every 2 years, eventually people will get tired of it in the elections and just let it happen and then we win!
Let’s not be discouraged. Let’s consider this situation an opportunity for us to get even more people involved to make Change possible. It will take hard work. But, YES WE CAN!

The Missing Kim Beaver Pics
Kim Beaver called into Big Fatty Online and finally put a voice behind her fabulous blog, twitter messages and emails. But she left the photos out so I’ve decided to post them here since we use to be co-workers on Hooters Air, so I have included the photos from my last trip to the Faroe Islands.
Now we know what airline Kim Beaver worked for
The truth is out.
Kim Beaver told us on her blog that she use to work for an airline. Now we really know what airline she worked for.
