The Tim Corrimal Show
Episode 258 – July 28, 2013
On episode 258 of The Tim Corrimal Show, I am joined at the round table by Joe (@Marnus3 on Twitter), Francie57 (@Francie57 on Twitter) and John Sheirer (@RealAmericanLib on Twitter) who’s the author of the book “Tales of a Real American Liberal” available at http://www.johnsheirer.com/.
On the show this week we start out with introductions and the “All A Tweetie” segment, then we begin the political discussion with the President’s press conference on the George Zimmerman verdict and we also discuss Sen. John McCain’s praise for the President’s comments about the speech. Then we discuss the news that Sen. Mitch McConnell has a Tea Party challenger in his re-election bid in Kentucky as well as our thoughts on the Anthony Weiner press conference about his sexting addiction. Then after another fabulous commercial from our great friends over at BubbleGenius.com, we continue the discussion about the part of the Anthony Weiner press conference where his wife, Huma Abedin, made her statement on the situation. Then we move on to the horrendous comments Rep. Steve King made comparing immigrants to dogs at a town hall meeting and how he was challenged by Jorge Ramos, a host of Univision, about it in an interview on the network. And then we discuss how Steve King continued his attacks after the interview calling immigrants “drug smugglers” and John Boehner’s press conference calling him out about it. Then we close out the show discussing the Iowa gay couple that won the right in court to be buried as spouses after they were married in Maryland as well as Virginia GOP nominee for Governor, Ken Cuccinelli, campaigning on trying to restore the state’s sodomy laws, even though they were struck down by the Supreme Court.
